The Card
Why Veggie?
Going vegetarian or vegan is a super-eco-friendly move.
In fact, foregoing meat and meat products can help reduce water consumption, pesticide use, deforestation, river and stream pollution, and the greenhouse gases that lead to global warming. And all you have to do is eat delicious, wholesome, veggie food!
If you’re looking for environmental bang-for-the-buck, consider eliminating or at least easing off of animal products in your diet. It will make a difference in the future of the planet. The Vegetarian Society has some nice material on how to make the transition. Our advice: This isn’t about what you “can’t eat.†It’s about discovering more and more delicious options that you love, and that make the planet a better place to live.
