A bit about Fat Worm, LLC
The creators of Fat Worm, LLC recognized the need for a service that has not been readily available in the DC Metro area. So they created Washington’s Organic Recycling Mission (WORM). Their mission is to contribute to the reduction of organic materials in our landfills, which will reduce the production of the greenhouse gasses that contribute to change in our Earth's climate. They do this by collecting table scraps and other organic materials from residential and commercial locations to be taken to a composting facility and made into rich soil. Fat Worm, LLC provides each customer with 5-gallon or 35-gallon containers, depending on the volume of waste, along with compostable liners. Each week, they pick up the full bag(s) from a designated area and provide clean bag(s) for the following week.
